Seit dem Erwerb der Villa Beer haben wir es uns auch zur Aufgabe gemacht ein Archiv aufzubauen. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir nun zum ersten Mal eine Leihgabe aus unserem stetig wachsenden und bereits sehr vielfältigen Bestand zur Verfügung stellen konnten.
Bereits im Sommer 2023 hat uns die Anfrage vom Kunstmuseum Millesgården in Schweden erreicht. Für ihre Ausstellung „Wiener Werkstätte Kunst/Handwerk 1903-1932“ in Kooperation mit dem MAK – Museum für angewandte Kunst wurden vier große Originalstoffe aus der Produktion von Haus & Garten als Leihgabe angefragt.
Millesgården liegt in der Nähe von Stockholm. Es ist ein Kunstmuseum mit einer weitläufigen Parkanlage, in der sich mehrere Gebäude befinden und Skulpturen des Bildhauers Carl Milles gezeigt werden. Bis 1931 wohnte und arbeitete dort das Künstlerpaar Olga und Carl Milles. Das auf dem Gelände befindliche von Evert Milles im Jahr 1950 entworfene „Annes Hus“ wurde von Astrid Ericsson und Josef Frank eingerichtet und kann auch besichtigt werden. Dort sind nun „unsere“ Stoffe zu Gast.

Exhibition Millesgården – Sweden
Since acquiring Villa Beer, we have also made it our mission to build an archive. We are very pleased that we have now been able to provide, for the first time, an item on loan from our steadily growing and already very diverse collection.
We received the request from the Millesgården Art Museum in Sweden back in the summer of 2023. For their exhibition “Wiener Werkstätte: Art and Craft 1903–1932,” organized in cooperation with the MAK—Museum of Applied Arts, they requested four large original fabrics from the “Haus & Garten” collection on loan.
Millesgården is located near Stockholm. It is an art museum with extensive park grounds that feature several buildings and sculptures by the sculptor Carl Milles. Until 1931, the artist couple Olga and Carl Milles lived and worked there. “Annes Hus,” located on the grounds and designed by Evert Milles in 1950, was furnished by Astrid Ericsson and Josef Frank and is also open to visitors. “Our” fabrics are now on display there.
