Veranstaltet von ÖGFA und DOCOMOMO in Kooperation mit der Villa Beer GmbH, kuratiert von Claudia Cavallar, Albert Kirchengast, Andreas Vass und Anna Wickenhauser widmen sich an diesen Tagen internationale Expert:innen Fragen der Restaurierung und der Vermittlung einer Architektur des Wohnens.
Mit der Villa Beer als Ausgangspunkt verbindet das Symposium Vorträge und
Diskussionen zu grundsätzlichen Fragen, die sich im Zuge der Restaurierung und Öffnung der Villa Beer stellen werden, mit der Besprechung internationaler Best Practice Beispielen von Hausmuseen.
Das Symposium findet im Festsaal des ÖIAV statt. Eine Teilnahme ist auch online möglich.

February 25 – 26, 2022 – Symposium: “Open Modernism – The Future of Villa Beer”
Organized by ÖGFA and DOCOMOMO in cooperation with Villa Beer GmbH, and curated by Claudia Cavallar, Albert Kirchengast, Andreas Vass, and Anna Wickenhauser, this event will bring together international experts to address issues related to the restoration and interpretation of residential architecture.
With Villa Beer as its starting point, the symposium combines lectures and
discussions on fundamental questions that will arise in the course of the restoration and opening of Villa Beer with a review of international best-practice examples of house museums.
The symposium will take place in the ÖIAV Ballroom. Online participation is also available.
