Obwohl schon ein wenig her, möchten wir dieses Ereignis hier nicht unerwähnt lassen.
Das neue online Format des ORF.at, „TOPOS“, startete Anfang Dezember 2022 mit der ersten Folge „Straussmania“, die in der Villa Beer gedreht wurde:

Ausnahmsweise war die Villa Beer erneut Drehort für eine ORF Digital-Content-Produktion unter der redaktionellen Leitung von ORF.at-Chefredakteur Gerald Heidegger. Für „TOPOS Straussmania“ spielte das „Ensemble Wien“ – bestehend aus Mitgliedern der Wiener Philharmoniker – hier den Walzer „Künstlerleben“ von Johann Strauss Sohn.
Die Villa Beer wurde nicht zufällig als Drehort gewählt. Hier befand sich einst der Vergnügungspark „Die neue Welt“, wo zahlreiche Musikstücke der Familie Strauss uraufgeführt wurden.
Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis für uns Musik in dieser Qualität im Haus zu hören und wir haben, wie so oft, intensiv an die Bauherrin Margarete Beer gedacht, die als Pianistin die Räume gewiss auch mit der einen oder anderen Melodie erfüllt hat.

“STRAUSSMANIA” at Villa Beer
Although it’s been a while, we don’t want to leave this event unmentioned here.
ORF.at’s new online format, “TOPOS,” launched in early December 2022 with its first episode, “Straussmania,” which was filmed at Villa Beer:

For once, Villa Beer once again served as the filming location for an ORF digital content production under the editorial direction of ORF.at Editor-in-Chief Gerald Heidegger. For “TOPOS Straussmania,” the “Ensemble Wien”—comprising members of the Vienna Philharmonic—performed Johann Strauss II’s waltz “Künstlerleben” here.
Villa Beer was not chosen as a filming location by chance. This was once the site of the amusement park “Die neue Welt,” where numerous pieces by the Strauss family were premiered.
It was a very special experience for us to hear music of this quality in the house, and—as so often—we thought deeply of the villa’s owner, Margarete Beer, who, as a pianist, surely filled these rooms with one melody or another.
