Am 21.02.2022 durften wir an einer von Prof Dr. Ivo Hammer organisierten Exkursion teilnehmen.
Wir erlebten eine Führung durch das Haus Tugendhat mit Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat, Kunsthistorikerin und jüngste Tochter der Bauherren des Hauses Tugendhat, Grete und Fritz Tugendhat, und Ivo Hammer, Konservator-Restaurator und 2010-2012 Vorsitzender der Internationalen Expertenkommission für die Restaurierung dieses berühmten Hauses.
Teilnehmer:innen an der Führung waren Univ. Prof. i.R. Nott Caviezel und Mitarbeiter:innen des Forschungsbereichs Denkmalpflege und Bauen im Bestand der TU Wien, Architekt Christian Prasser mit seinem Team und Mitglieder und Freunde von docomomo Austria.

A Visit to the Tugendhat House—A Truly Special Experience
On February 21, 2022, we had the opportunity to take part in an excursion organized by Prof. Dr. Ivo Hammer.
We were treated to a guided tour of the Tugendhat House with Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat, an art historian and the youngest daughter of the Tugendhat House’s builders, Grete and Fritz Tugendhat, and Ivo Hammer, a conservator-restorer and chair of the International Commission of Experts for the restoration of this famous house from 2010 to 2012.
Participants in the tour included retired University Professor Nott Caviezel and staff members from the Research Group for Historic Preservation and Renovation at TU Wien, architect Christian Prasser and his team, and members and friends of docomomo Austria.
